On 01.09.2026, the funding model for the Uferhallen site in Berlin-Gesundbrunnen was approved. This marks an important milestone in securing the site’s long-established mixed use.
The grant awarded to Kulturraum Berlin gGmbH (KRB) as part of the State of Berlin’s institutional funding partly serves to secure and preserve the Uferhallen cultural site for the 20-year term of the general lease agreement concluded in 2023. Artists at the site are supported through the subsidised provision of the spatial infrastructure located there. Beneficiaries are professionally working individual artists, groups, and collectives with their primary residence in Berlin who rent and use the work, project, and networking spaces.
