Thinking outside the box is exactly Laura’s forte. As a consultant for culture and location development, she focuses on how to better meet the diverse spatial needs of Berlin’s independent arts and culture scene. How can spaces and locations be reimagined, and how can the processes for allocating and letting them be tailored to the needs of users?
To this end, the cultural studies graduate is responsible at Kulturraum Berlin gGmbH for the planning and implementation of innovative and sustainable concepts – whether temporary or long-term, sector-specific or cross-disciplinary. Thanks to her many years of experience in a communications agency specialising in urban development and architectural topics, she approaches her interdisciplinary role with a broad perspective. Her experience in the project development of cultural programmes forms the basis of her work, whilst she oversees the design and implementation of development processes for larger sites in Berlin.
“Our solutions are only successful if they incorporate diverse perspectives and are designed with foresight. The shared goal – more spaces for artists in Berlin – requires close collaboration with all partners, from artists, associations and arts organisations to the property sector.”
