Under the motto “Defending and creating new cultural spaces in Berlin”, the Freiraumkonferenz – a forum for dialogue between public administration, politics and spatial planning stakeholders and cultural actors – will take place from 17 to 19 August 2021.
Over two days, a wide range of panels will be offered – both in a hybrid format and in-person or digitally via live streams – focusing on the theme of cultural spaces and how joint solutions can be found to preserve existing spaces and create new ones.
On Wednesday, 18.08. at 3 PM, the focus will be on “Culture in Green Spaces”. On a panel, political representatives will discuss outdoor cultural events – from potential conflicts to the sustainable use of green spaces for open-air events. Among those taking part in the panel is Tatjana Kaube, Managing Director and Authorised Signatory of Kulturraum Berlin GmbH.
The hybrid event will take place with a limited number of attendees on site and as a livestream on the Freiraumkonferenz website.
