The sixth edition of *Stadt nach Acht* will take place in Berlin from 16. to 18.11.2023. Under the theme ‘Night Fever’, the conference will explore topics relating to the return of Berlin’s world-famous nightlife through panels, fishbowl discussions and input sessions. In addition, participants will have the opportunity to take part in other formats such as lectures, film screenings and get-togethers.
In a fishbowl format, the speakers will address questions such as how we acquire and protect open spaces, how we can support the districts in the development of sites, and where the boundaries lie. As an example, the Modellfläche at the former Tegel Airport and the successful cooperative process – from site development through the call for applications to its use by the host collective Turbulence – will be discussed. Participants will also explore the opportunities and potential that such projects offer for the ‘city after eight’.

Sarah Manz (Kulturraum Berlin gGmbH)
Tobias Schmidt-Pathenheimer (Senate Department for Culture and Social Cohesion)
